Automated Test Suite Development: Phase-1

The objective of this phase is to provide an automation suite for the basic sanity test cases for Gnome based desktops, which can be driven by the automation framework which is developed in phase-1. Initial set of desktop applications identified for this are as follows: 

   * Gedit
   * Nautilus
         o File Manager
         o Desktop
         o MIME types
   * Firefox
   * Gaim
   * Eog
   * Menu System
         o Panel and Applets
   * Printing
   * Evolution Client

The deliverable at the end of this phase will be a tool-independent automation suite (based on keywords) for the identified applications. Manually created application map will be associated with the automated suite.


Automated Test Suite Development: Phase-2

The objective of this phase is to develop a complete automation suite for the GNOME based desktop. This may include the full functionality test cases, negative test cases and data validation test cases etc.

The deliverable at the end of this phase will be the complete automation suite for GNOME desktop.
