Welcome to the third issue of LDTP Newsletter! This newsletter throws light on various community activities involving LDTP like new features and automation scripts available with the latest release, major bug fixes etc.. It also includes latest news on our approach towards achieving an automated test engine. Useful references have been included at the end of this article for those who wish to hack/use LDTP.
LDTP is now at version 0.1.9. You can download it from here.
Releases:
This release includes the following
- Two new APIs have been provided fixing the enhancement bugs - #312650, #312983 (Premkumar 'prem')
- New automation scripts for 'Eye of Gnome' (Biswa 'biswa')
- New automation scripts for 'Gnome-search-tool' (Girish 'Girish')
- LDTP 0.1.9 is now available as a Debian package also (Prashanth 'Casanova')
Major Bug Fixes:
- Automation scripts for evolution mailer and calendar, which were broken due to few UI changes in evolution have been fixed (Premkumar 'prem')
- Bugs #312436, #312873, #313290 have been fixed (Premkumar 'prem')
Whats in store for future releases ...
LDTP community is working actively on the following
- New Appmap generation and searching algorithm for optimising LDTP (Premkumar 'prem')
- Complete Evolution automation scripts (Premkumar 'prem')
- Automation scripts for Gedit, Nautilus (wipro / sun team)
- File roller automation scripts (Nagashree 'mnagashree')
